Privacy Policy

Updated 22 October 2026

This policy explains how Headcanon Generator, the independent project at freeheadcanongenerator.com, handles information when you use this website. For privacy questions, email [email protected].

Generation and character information

Names, pronoun forms, personality tags and generator selections are processed by JavaScript in your browser. Generation does not send these inputs to an AI service or to our own application server. It does not query fictional-character databases.

Pictures and image cards

Optional PNG, JPEG and WebP avatar images are opened and cropped on your device. The current tool does not upload them to an image-hosting service. Pictures are kept for the current page session unless you choose to remember them with a saved cast. Downloading a card or ZIP creates a file on your device. Sharing that file elsewhere is your separate action.

Browser storage

IndexedDB stores saved headcanons, recent generated results and casts you explicitly remember. Saved text includes the names and selections associated with that result. Recent history is limited to 50 records. Pictures are omitted from ordinary saved results unless you opted to remember them.

Local storage remembers a theme preference. Session storage keeps template identifiers to reduce repetition in the current tab. These identifiers are not an account or a cross-device profile. Storage may be unavailable in some browser settings; the tool then attempts to keep your choices in page memory for the current visit.

Clear your device data

You can remove individual favorites and casts through the tools. The button below clears this site’s saved casts, stored pictures, favorites and recent history in the current browser, plus the theme preference. Downloaded files and copies you posted elsewhere are not removed.

Page requests and hosting

Local generation does not mean the website makes no network requests. Your browser requests page files, fonts and scripts. Fonts are served with the site rather than requested from a separate font API. We use Cloudflare Pages to host and deliver the website. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and protect the service. Read Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy for information about its processing.

Analytics, advertising and cookies

On freeheadcanongenerator.com, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-T48BHJGVCX) after you choose “Allow analytics.” It helps us understand page visits and site usage. The Google tag is blocked before acceptance; choosing “Necessary only” keeps it blocked. Localhost and preview domains do not load the tag.

Google Analytics may process device and browser information, page visits, approximate location derived from connection information, and analytics cookie identifiers. We do not deliberately send character names, pronouns, avatar images, generated headcanons, or saved cast contents as analytics events. Our page-view event excludes URL query strings and fragments. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in the site configuration.

Your analytics choice is stored in local storage for up to 180 days. You can reopen Analytics choices at any time, including from the footer. Choosing “Necessary only” disables further measurement by this tag and removes its accessible first-party analytics cookies. Previously transmitted information is not recalled by changing the setting. The generator works without analytics.

Read Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. No advertising code is enabled. Adding AdSense will require its own advertising disclosures and appropriate consent setup; analytics acceptance is not advertising consent.

Contact messages

The contact page opens a draft in your email application. It does not submit a message through a background form endpoint. If you send an email, we use your address and message to respond and handle the concern you raised. Its contents are also handled by the email services involved. Please avoid sending private character material or other information that is not needed for your request.

Questions and updates

Email [email protected] or visit Contact Us for questions or concerns. If our processing changes, we will update this policy and its date to describe the new behavior.
